Beirut woman kills family due to husband's job

Lebanon News.Net
Saturday 21st November, 2009

A Lebanese mother found dead with her three daughters admitted on a videotape that she had poisoned her family.

In the pre-recorded video confession, Grace Jalakh, 40, said she had poisoned herself and her three young daughters because her husband has been away in Bahrain, working for years.

She said: "I cannot take it any more."

Jalakh’s husband, Paul, a horse trainer, had actually just returned from a six-day trip to the Gulf.

He was the one who found the bodies.

The taped confession was aired on Lebanese television after Jalakh was found dead with daughters Melissa, 13, Madison, 10, and Alfreda, 7, at their apartment in the town of Bhorsaf, northeast of Beirut.
