KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition led by the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) scored a key election victory on Saturday, winning over control of the Malacca state.

VANCOUVER -- The bodies of three missing men have been found at a rainstorm-caused mudslide in British Columbia province of Canada, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) on Saturday.

TRIPOLI -- The International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Saturday said more than 75 illegal immigrants have drowned at sea off the coast of western Libya, while trying to reach Europe.

MOGADISHU -- Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Roble on Saturday appointed a new minister for foreign affairs and international cooperation alongside his deputy in a mini reshuffle of the cabinet.

In a statement released in Mogadishu, the Somali capital, Roble appointed Abdisaid Muse Ali, the current chief of staff in the presidency, as the country's new foreign minister, to replace Mohamed Abdirizak who was sworn in on Nov. 25, 2020. (Somalia-Appointment)
