BEIRUT, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The "Made in Lebanon" exhibition opened in Iraqi capital Baghdad on Thursday, with the attendance of 80 exhibitors across industries, Lebanese Industry Ministry said in a statement.

The trade show "reflects the keenness and enthusiasm of the Lebanese private sector to create partnerships and enhance cooperation" with their Iraqi counterparts, Lebanon's Industry Minister George Bouchikian was quoted as saying.

The nine-day exhibition is held at the Baghdad International Fair in western Baghdad, with the participation of Lebanese industrialists from different sectors.

Bouchikian said the exhibitors will showcase their best products with international standards.

For his part, Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz said the exhibition aims to increase trade between the two countries, while Iraq also wants to learn from Lebanon's expertise in various industrial sectors.

Lebanon and Iraq signed earlier in January a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening ties in the economic, industrial, scientific, environmental and technological fields.
