JERUSALEM, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli military said Tuesday that its troops identified and downed a Hezbollah drone entering Israel's airspace from Lebanon.
The incident occurred overnight between Monday and Tuesday, according to a statement from the Israeli army.
"The drone was monitored by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) throughout the incident," the statement added.
Israel's military fired artillery into Lebanon after a rocket from Lebanon hit northern Israel on April 25, marking a rare flare-up on the Israel-Lebanon border.
