TEHRAN (Tasnim) Irans Parliament speaker said the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, launched two years ago by Hamas, dealt a technical and strategic blow to the Zionist regime, disrupted the global arrogances calculations, and shattered Israels plans for the future of the Middle East.
- Politics news -Speaking at an open session of the Parliament on Wednesday marking the second anniversary of the operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said the heroic operation fundamentally altered the balance of power in the region.
Hamas has not been eliminated; rather, it is now imposing its own demands on Israel. The regime that once sought normalization has turned into the main source of instability in the region, he stated.
Qalibaf stated that the operation not only dealt a technical and strategic blow to the Zionist regime but also disrupted the global arrogances calculations and plunged Israel into a quagmire of defeat, stymieing its plots for the future of the region.
He pointed to Hezbollahs steadfastness in Lebanon, saying, Hezbollah has defeated the Israeli army, preserved and rebuilt its military capabilities, and deprived the (Israeli) regimes forces of any sense of security. Meanwhile, the Yemeni resistance continues to deny calm to ports and airports in the occupied territories. In short, two years after the Al-Aqsa Storm, the Zionist regime is facing an existential crisis.
Qalibaf further noted that the Resistance Front in Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemenalongside the endurance of the Iranian peoplehas brought the region to a point where Israel has become the most detested regime in the world.
